Read the text and answer the questions (True / False).
When Lucas joined his new school, he was surprised to learn that the football team trained four times a week. He had always loved the sport, but he had never practised so often before. The coach, Mr Reed, was strict about being on time, and any player who arrived late had to run extra laps around the pitch.
At first Lucas found the training very hard, and after the first session he could barely walk home. However, he did not give up, and slowly he became one of the strongest players in the team. He was especially good at defending, although he secretly wished he could score more goals.
In May the team reached the final of the regional cup. They lost the match by a single goal, but Mr Reed told them he was proud of how far they had come. Lucas was disappointed, yet he already could not wait for the next season to begin.
