Last Sunday my uncle took me and my cousin to a science museum in the centre of the city. We had wanted to visit it for a long time, but the museum is usually very crowded, so we left home early to avoid the queues. When we arrived, there were already dozens of people waiting outside, although the doors had not opened yet.
The museum had three huge floors. On the ground floor we learned about space, and I sat inside a model of a real spaceship, which was much smaller than I had expected. After that we went upstairs to the floor about the human body, where a friendly guide explained how the heart works using a giant model. My cousin asked so many questions that the guide laughed and said he should become a scientist one day.
The best part was the experiment room. We touched a strange ball that made our hair stand up, and we built a small bridge from wooden blocks to see how much weight it could hold. Although we were having a wonderful time, the hours passed quickly and soon the museum was closing. Before we left, my uncle bought us each a small souvenir from the shop near the exit. On the way home I felt tired but excited, and I told my parents that I wanted to come back again very soon to see the parts we had missed.
