Olivia's Day Off
Olivia is ten years old and she lives in a small town near the sea. On school days she always gets up early, but on Saturday she stays in bed until nine o'clock. Saturday is her favourite day because she doesn't go to school.
This Saturday Olivia helps her mum with the housework. First she makes her bed, and then she cleans her room. She doesn't like washing the dishes, so her brother Tom does that job. After lunch they walk to the shops together. Olivia wants to buy a present for her best friend Mia, because next week is Mia's birthday. She buys a blue book about animals because Mia loves dogs and horses.
In the evening Olivia feels tired but happy. She doesn't watch TV. She reads her new book in bed and goes to sleep at half past nine.
