Three years ago I moved from a small village to a huge city, and my life completely changed. At first I found it exciting. There was always something to do: cinemas, restaurants, concerts and shops that never seemed to close. I made new friends quickly because there were so many people around.
However, city life is not perfect. The biggest problem for me is the cost. Renting even a small flat is incredibly expensive, and I spend almost half of my salary on it. The streets are often crowded and noisy, and the air is not as clean as in the countryside. Sometimes I really miss the peace and quiet of my old village.
Despite these problems, I have decided to stay. My job is here, and I have learned to enjoy the energy of the city. I think the most important thing is to find a balance: I work hard during the week, but at weekends I often escape to the countryside to relax. For me, that is the perfect solution.
